There's a great video getting lots of hits on YouTube that has also been making the rounds on Facebook. The video, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Asheville, features numerous Asheville men, some more well-known than others, dancing in high heels to the song Walk Like a Man by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Well, some are dancing while others are playing soccer, doing martial arts, or runing across the street in a nun's habit. They all did it to promote an upcoming fundraising event for Our Voice, a crisis intervention agency serving victims of sexual violence in Buncombe County.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is the 9th International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence. It will take place on April 24 of this year. Though the reason for the march is a serious one, it is a fun way to raise awarness, educate the community and support women who have been victims of such crimes. [VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP]

Asheville Police Chief Bill Hogan is this year's Honorary Chair for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: Asheville. Joining him are many other community leaders including Asheville City Councilmen Gordon Smith and Cecil Bothwell. There are probably plenty of men, drag queens and drag queen-wannabees in the LGBTQ community who would love to put on some hot and sexy high heels and join in for this great and important cause.
